National Kale Council

Through the exploration of microscopy, horticulture, leaf-pressing, relief printing, and making inks, I translated the essence of kale into a visually compelling image of integrity. Kale is not only a trendy superfood filled with an astounding amount of nutrition but is also a solid-feeling leafy vegetable garnering its structural integrity from its rigid venation. The color palette for the symbol is derived from the inks extracted from different parts and varieties of kale.
